HOW DID YOU LEARN YOUR MOTHER TONGUE THEN?
How Did
You Learn Your Mother Tongue Then?
We are all born without a language.
We acquired it.
Our mother tongue was a FOREIGN language.
In learning a language,
the word: “a foreign language” generates
a bias against learning another language since it forces to disregard the previous achievement that we made.
Therefore, when we start to learn a second language, there is nothing new.
In the academic theory, speech is not invented.
We learn naturally and subconsciously.
Writing is invented.
That means, we neet to learn it consciously.
You have already experienced the required processes to master a particular language.
It is effective to reflect on how you learned your mother tongue, which will give you another perspective on a language-learning.
In doing so, you can reframe a language-learning as a new concept.
For example,
think about
how many words you have ever written with your mother tongue in your life,
compared with a language that you are learning
as a foreign language?
